I live in Kilcrohane on the Sheep’s Head Peninsula in West Cork and enjoy growing vegetables, edible flowers and flowers in our salty garden overlooking Dunmanus Bay and watching the wildlife play with the seed heads and trees.

.My art is a response to the environment I find myself in, The nature which surrounds me - the sea, rockfaces, mountains and sky. The objects which make up the still life of the house and living wildlife, flowers and trees in the garden. I explore these subject matters through colour, pattern and texture using acylics, watercolours and collage on canvas, paper and wood.

Travels around Western Australia visiting my dughters and grandchildren have also inspired me as the light is so different in the Southern hemisphere and colours and shadows change constantly. There are six Noongar seasons instead of 4 and the wildlife is abundant! These experiences have influenced the light and colour in my work and I enjoy exploring the six seasons.
